She loved flaunting her wealth, properties and being so public. She felt safe and never really thought about her vulnerability. Now she knows she was so naive. Everything has to change going forward.
When Forbes magazine placed her at number 42 on their Rich List of the World's Highest Paid Celebrities, Kim Kardashian could not resist bragging about how far she had come from the days when she achieved infamy in a dubious sex tape.
Taking to Twitter, the multi-millionaire- who made her name in the much maligned reality TVshow " Keeping Up with the Kardashains" -mocked her detractors with the hash tag #NotBadForAGirlWithNoTalent.
Now three months later, she is ruling the day that she began chronicling her life and riches on social media.
Although, the mother of two has amased a fortune by posting every minute detail about her conspicuous consumption on social meedia. It was a photograph of her 3.5 million pounds 20- carat engagaement ring, which she posted on Instagram some weeks ago, that would have prove her downfall. Karl Lagerfeld blames her for being partly resposible for the heist after flaunting her wealth. She has decided to take a month off work and scale back on social media
'This incident was a completely life-changing for Kim Kardashian', a source told US Magazine.
She realized she was living in a bubble doing what she was doing.
So what will Kim Kardashian do now? After all she has earned her fortune through self-promotion- from the moment she first appeared on American TV channel E!'s real life soap opera nine years ago she has barely been out of the public eye.
In fact, she is so ubiquitous that some people have even suggested that the robbery, in which she was tied up into her namebathroom of a luxurious Paris apartment and robbed at a gun point by five masked men, could have been a publicity stunt.
Certainly it appeared to have come at an opportune moment, raising her profile as the 13th series of Keeping Up with the Kardashian prepares to air -ratings fell to an all-timelow in June when her brother, Rob announced his engagement to model Blac Chyna.
However, acccording to her biographer, Sean Smith, Kim's career has been slowly moving in a new direction since she has married rapper, Kanye West, father of two children, daughter North(three) and ten month old son, Saint. In 2014, the couple was named on Time Mgazine's list of the 100 Most Influential People in the World.

Not only has she become a vocal campaigner- raising awareness of the genocide in Armenia -her ancestral home. Supporting the Dream Foundation for temporary -ill adults and breaking taboos on mental illness; but she is now making a fortune from in mobile technology.
In fact, according to Forbes, which describes her as a 'tech entrepneur' she made more money last year from her Kim Kardashian: Hollywood mobile game,(40 per cent of her annual paycheck), Kimoji and personal apps, than she she did from anything else.

'But now she doesn't need to go on doing that because there are othr memebers of the family to promote the Kardashian brand. In effect she can be chairwoman of the board and mastermind everything from her fabulous masion.'

Certainly the Kardashians cannot afford to sit back on their laurels. Although West announced on Twitter earlier this year that he was 41.6 million Pounds in debt - he cheekily asked Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg for a loan. The couple is conservatively estimated to be worth 140 million Pounds between them, making suggestions that they staged the robbery likely to be wide off the mark.
While West has dropped off the Forbes list of highest earnings celebrities. He ranked 20 in 2014; he still made number 7 on the magazine's 2015 list of World's Highest Paid Hip-Hop Acts,earning 17 millions Pounds.
But it is his wife who has now overtaaken him as the main breadwinner of the family . She earned a staggering 35 million pounds last year - double of her husband's income and according to Forbes , 'no one has monetised fame better'. Her vast business portfolio includes fashion, cosmetics and tanning lines, as well as video games- even a book of selfies entitled Selfish, which costs 10.80 pounds on Amazon.
Kim has certainly inherited a talent from her father Robert, an Armenian-American attorney, who defended his daughter's godfather OJ Simpson during his murder trail.
He started a company called Movie Tunes, Kim worked for the company for eight years. When he died of cancer, she, her sisters(Kourtney,Khole) and brother, Rob inherited the company and later sold it and invested in two fashion stores.
But in 2007, singer Ray J, an ex of Whitney Houston, she was thrown a curveball when a sex tape of the couple together was later releasesd by a porn company. Kim Kaedashian sued the company for 3.9 million Pounds, taking advantage of her noterirty, her family signed up for a reality show, which would make their names.
Since then the Kardashian family has seemed to leave the spotlight, Kim has appeared and featured for Playboy,Dancing with The Stars, Disaster: The movie.
So its unlikely that Kim Kardashain will be a permanent recluse.
